Frederick Thomas Elworthy
Frederick Thomas Elworthy (1830-1907) was an English philologist, antiquary, and folklorist, best known for "The Evil Eye" (1895) and "Horns of Honour, and Other Studies in the By-ways of Archaeology" (1900, John Murray, London), a study of horns as a cross-cultural symbolic and religious motif, including a dedicated chapter on the Devil's traditional horned iconography.
